Dothan United set to host first two rounds of USL League Two playoffs

After topping the South Central Division in the regular season, Dothan United Soccer is set to host the first two rounds of the USL League Two playoffs.
Four teams are in the Wiregrass for the “Dothan Pod” with the last team standing advancing to the quarterfinals.
Here’s the schedule for the first two rounds:
- Thursday, July 16
- Fort Lauderdale vs Swarm FC, 3PM
- Dothan United vs. Brave SC, 7:30PM
- Saturday, July 18
- Winners play in the Round of 16, 7PM
All three games will be played at Rip Hewes Stadium in Dothan.
Dothan United hosting playoffs for second time
Dothan United has quickly become a force in the league since joining in 2024. Last season, the club made it to the USL2 semifinals before losing to eventual champion Vermont Green on penalty kicks.
They’re hoping to get over the hump this season.
Dothan lost just one regular season match in 2026, finishing with a 9-2-1 record while outscoring its opponents 27-8. The team won its final three matches which included a pair of clean sheets.
In games at Rip Hewes Stadium this season, Dothan is unbeaten and has outscored its opponents 15-2. The club reported more than 5000 people were in attendance in its previous two home matches.
