Ella Langley joins Mariah Carey in latest milestone on Billboard Hot 100

Alabama native and country music star Ella Langley just became the second artist ever to have a song reach the top spot for 20 different weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The only other artist to hit that milestone? Mariah Carey with her popular holiday song “All I Want for Christmas is You.”
Langley’s song “Choosin’ Texas” has put the Hope Hull native into rare company and it shows no sign of slowing down.
Choosin’ Texas by Ella Langley makes history
Langley reached the top spot with her 2025 hit “Choosin’ Texas” which first peaked on the chart in February. It has had an off-and-on run at No. 1 but has been in the Hot 100 for 45 total weeks.
The song has set several chart records and now is the second longest-leading hits in the chart’s history. Here’s the other songs with at leas 16 weeks at the top spot:
