Business Insider partnered with Yelp to build a list of the best fried chicken in every state.
Here in Alabama, the nod went to Thelma’s Kitchen in Eufaula.
The two publications identified restaurants and food business with a high concentration of public reviews mentioning “fried chicken.” Then the spots were ranked using different factors like review volume and Yelp ratings.

The restaurant is nothing new to the Wiregrass community as it has been a popular staple in Eufaula for over a decade. What started as a takeout option became a full cafeteria-style restaurant serving soul food.
