Nick Saban will once again take on his former assistant, Kirby Smart. Alabama and Georgia played for the SEC Championship in 2018, resulting in an Alabama win. Followed by a second match up in the National Championship—also won by the Tide. For fans, this rivalry brings tensions, especially since they only meet once every 12 years, unless it is a face off for the SEC Championship.
As an Alabama fan and two-time grad myself, I can’t say I’m too fond of the ‘Dawgs.
Alabama and Georgia first met in 1895 and have since played 70 times. Alabama leads the series 41-25-4. The longest winning streak? You’re looking at it. The Tide has won the last six games.
