After being rumored for years, a Chick-fil-A location has finally set up shop in Fairhope at one of the city’s central intersections.
Chick-fil-A announced its plans to bulldoze the former Ruby Tuesday location at the intersection of Fairhope Avenue and Greeno Road (US-98) in July 2024, making this a long-awaited opening for folks on Alabama’s Gulf Coast.
The new location’s opening, which took place Friday, March 27, was celebrated with free food and opportunities to apply for new jobs.
Fairhope restaurant operator Daniel Nance also owns the long-standing Daphne Chick-fil-A location, which recently underwent several months of renovation and expansion.
“Fairhope has been my home for over 20 years, and this community has supported me as I’ve grown into the leader I am today.
“I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunity to continue serving our guests and expanding our impact with another restaurant right here in my hometown. It’s truly an honor to open the first Chick-fil-A in Fairhope.”

As part of the festivities, the new location at 901 Fairhope Avenue presented a $25,000 donation to Feeding the Gulf Coast.
