In the meantime, the current farmers market is open daily at 486 West Fairview Avenue

A few years back, Fairview Farmers Market relocated to the smaller retail space due to construction in the area. This new plan will completely remodel and upgrade the market’s original location, making it a community hub again.

“For us, it’s important that when we’re thinking about revitalization, we think about all the corridors that exist in the city, not just those that attract the big headlines and new developments.”

Beyond economic growth, the project addresses crucial community needs. The mayor said the importance of the farmers market on West Fairview Avenue to this area, allowing for fresh food options for residents who may be underserved.

We won’t have to wait long to see dirt turning on West Fairview Avenue. The mayor said the remodeled farmers market is expected to be completed in about 18 months, adding that a groundbreaking will be held within the next few months.
