Famous faces seen at the 90th Iron Bowl

Students, alumni, fans + celebrities alike flocked to Auburn last weekend to watch two rivals face off against each other at the 90th Iron Bowl. Since 1948, The University of Alabama and Auburn University have taken to the field each year to vie for the title of state champ. The series is considered one of the most important rivalries in college football.

Eight celebrities were in Auburn last weekend to watch the matchup.

Tim Cook

Mobile native + Apple CEO Tim Cook visited Auburn and was seen during the Tiger Walk ahead of the big game Saturday.

Bo Jackson

40 years ago, Bo Jackson won the Heisman Trophy at Auburn, but that’s not all he did on the Plains. Regarded as one of the best athletes of all time, Jackson also played baseball and track for Auburn before going on to play in the National Football League (NFL) and Major League Baseball (MLB). During the Nov. 29 game, Jackson was recognized for rushing 1,786 yards and 17 touchdowns during the 1985 season.

Charles Barkley

The All-American basketball player turned NBA pro frequently returns to his alma mater to give back to the community, participate in various events and support the athletic programs.

Riley Green

Country music star + Alabama native Riley Green made a surprise appearance at the Iron Bowl after performing the night before for Auburn students in Neville Arena, benefiting Auburn student-athletes.

United States senator and former Auburn head football coach Tommy Tuberville cheered on the Auburn Tigers on Saturday evening.

Enterprise native, United States senator + University of Alabama alumna Katie Britt and her husband, former Alabama and New England Patriots tackle Wesley Britt were in attendance.
