Callaghan’s Block Party + Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Parade | Mobile

The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, a nonprofit organization that began as a relief organization for Irish immigrants, runs the parade and has evolved to perform other charitable acts and provide scholarships. The nonprofit started in Philidelphia in 1771, and has now branched out all over the nation.

The block party is said to be one of the largest block parties on the Gulf Coast. Get ready for traditional Irish music, live performances from Teddy Fingers & Eire Supply, Johnny Haynes & The Loveseats, Billy Allen and The Pollies.

ShamROCK + Shop | Birmingham

In the past, the event has just been beer + bands. This year, ShamRock + Shop has added shopping.
The event will have drink specials, beer, cocktails, live music + a local vendor market.

Trick a Leprechaun for St. Patrick’s Day | Tuscaloosa
CHOM is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day activity where leprechauns are loose in the museum. Search for shamrocks,”gold” coins and win prizes.

Ellen McAnelly Memorial St. Patrick’s Day Parade | Huntsville
This year will mark the 48th anniversary of the Ellen McAnelly Memorial Parade, which was started by the Irish-born owner of Finnegan’s Pub, Ellen McAnelly.

St. Patrick’s Day Pet Parade | Alexander City
A pet parade will be taking place starting at The Historic Downtown Doorway + Greenspace. Enter your pet for $10. A prize will go to the best costume!

Almost St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl | Montgomery
The pub crawl will start at Tower Taproom and follow through other stops, including AlleyBAR, Aviator Bar, Jerry’s Juke Joint, and CC’s Daquiris. The crawl will also include food stops from Jalapenos in the Alley to SaZa Serious Italian Food.

41st Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade | Birmingham

The parade will feature the Ian Sturrock Memorial Pipe Band and other local groups for live music. Open containers are welcome. Westwood Irish Dancers will also perform before and after the parade, so be sure to catch them!

Shamrock the Blocks of Florence | Florence
Florence is holding their 10th annual pub crawl with prizes! The crawl is hosted by KIX96 – WXFL 96.1FM , Woofie’s of Huntsville West-The Shoals, + Q107.

World’s Smallest St. Patrick’s Day Parade | Enterprise
This is Enterprises’ 32nd anniversary of the World’s Smallest St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade has one participant- the Grand Marshal. He will carry a large, oversized Irish flag down E College Street.
Enterprise also has a Half Pint 0.5k to go along with the theme. The run will have free donuts at the halfway point!

Historic Downtown Gadsden Pub Crawl | Gadsden
This pub crawl explores each part of the historic Gadsden area. Some of the stops include Back Forty Beer Company, Big D’s Game Changer, Blackstone Pub & Eatery, + CJ’s Crab Shack. Enjoy live music + drink specials.

Shamrockin 5k Color Run + Walk | Anniston
The run will take participants through the scenic historic district of Anniston. Wear your best green + raise funds for Anniston’s annual spring beautification efforts.

Irish Bred Pub | Opelika
The Irish Bred Pub + Dublin Loft will be having events on Saturday + Monday. Saturday, they’re having a live performer come at 6 PM, Irish cocktails, + green beer. Monday calls for Celtic Traditions Irish Dance with the loft opening up at 3:30 PM.
Prattville St. Patrick’s Day Celebration | Prattville
Pratt Pub + Oyster Bar is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day celebration. The kitchen will be serving Irish food + green beer will be available. Stayed tuned for DJ Jen!
