3 days of packed full of fun

From architectural garden walks to live musical performances – even a car show – there’s plenty for all ages, and species, to enjoy. We’ve picked out a few highlights we’re anticipating at the Festival of Flowers.

LoDa ArtWalk

LoDa ArtWalk is a monthly celebration of the arts in downtown Mobile – and this month, the Festival of Flowers party turns into ArtWalk! There will be all the vendors you love, live music and a Kid’s Zone for the little ones. This month’s theme is Ninja Turtles, so enjoy the collaboration of aesthetics there!

  • When: March 8 from 5-9PM
  • Where: downtown Mobile
  • Cost: free (no donation required, either)

Buds & Brews

If you’re in need of a date night this weekend – Buds & Brews would be my vote! This is a ticketed event for folks 21+ who want to sip on some beer in a flower garden – oh and enjoy live music too. They’re bringing out some truly yummy food for a night of springtime fun.

Wags Welcome

If you like to take your pooch everywhere, Sunday is the best day to check out the Festival of Flowers. From 3-5PM that day, you can meet up with all the other flower-loving dogs in Mobile.

So much more!

  • Exotic Car Show
  • Self-guided garden tours
  • Seminars & talks on gardening

Can’t make it to the Festival of Flowers? No worries! We will have coverage from the festival on Friday, make sure you allow notifications from us to stay in the loop.

5 other spring festivals you’ll want to check out this month

1. Azalea Trail Festival

This one might be a bit of a cheat because the Festival of Flowers is actually a part of the Azalea Trail Festival – but the Azalea Trail Festival goes all month long, starting with the Festival of Flowers. Mobile’s known as the Azalea City, so we’re dedicating this month to celebrating that!

Highlights include:

  • Riding the Azalea Trail
  • Bellingrath Gardens + Home Azalea Blooms
  • Azalea Trail Run

You can find more information about this here.

2. Orange Beach Festival of Art

It’s the golden anniversary of the Orange Festival of Art – 50 years going strong! Organizers say this free event will feature 100 artists selling unique pieces from jewelry to candles + live music and delicious food trucks. There’s something for the whole family, including a Kids Alley. Pets are welcome as long as they’re on a leash.

3. Elberta German Sausage Festival

It’s the most delicious way to support your first responders: the Elberta German Sausage Festival! All proceeds from this bi-yearly event support the volunteer fire department in Elberta. And it’s so much more than just delicious, homemade German sausage + beer – they have live music, carnival rides and over 200 vendor booths.

4. Fairhope Arts & Crafts Festival

Three days, over 200 artists and a 70+ year legacy: the Fairhope Arts & Crafts Festival takes over downtown this month. You’ll find jewelry, demonstrations, live music + more.

  • When: March 15-17 from 10AM-5PM each day
  • Where: Downtown Fairhope
  • More Info: Website | Facebook

5. Pet Fest of the Gulf Coast

Calling all pet lovers! Pet Fest of the Gulf Coast is back again for another year of showing some love to the animals. Demonstrations for pet training, resources for pet parents + so much more will be in Medal of Honor Park for one day only!
