On April 2, a crowd gathered by Railroad Park in Birmingham as U.S. Soccer Association, Chris Richards, Birmingham Legion FC, Soccer Forward Foundation and KultureCity unveiled the nation’s first FIFA Arena.
This opening is part of a broader initiative to ramp up excitement ahead of the United States playing host to the biggest sporting event in the world: The FIFA World Cup 2026™, happening this May.
Another part of that excitement is the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola, and yep, you guessed it: That’s coming to Birmingham, too! On Thursday, May 7, you can meet a FIFA Legend, see the coveted gold-plated trophy and celebrate soccer in Birmingham.
