Bradley got three yes votes in his first audition after singing 3 Doors Down. He got to meet fellow Alabama native Lionel Ritchie who praised Bradley’s “growl” in his voice and his confidence while performing.
He advanced to the top 30 after performing “Boots” by HARDY, which drew plenty of compliments from the judges.
“I feel like you’ve got a solid voice, you’ve got a big range. You were like a lion pacing back and forth, getting ready to bust out of the cage. It was good.”
Carrie Underwood
Bradley earned a trip to Hawaii with the show where he got to perform “Amarillo Sky” by Jason Aldean.
“Great song choice for you. And I tell you, rocking overalls in Hawaii, that’s pretty amazing. You really impressed me where you went vocally. I enjoyed it, great job.”
Luke Bryan
Bradley’s final performance came in Hollywood as part of the top 20 competition. He sang “It’s Not Over” by Daughtry, a song that connected him with his dad.
“I’ll tell you what I was listening to: Carrie did not miss one note, not one lyric. Between that and your dad headbanging, what the heck is going on around here?… You were familiar with that. I got right away that was in your wheelhouse. You were very, very in pocket and it showed. Really great.”
