Food Network’s Restaurant: Impossible is coming to Opelika + YOU can be part of the show
Love watching Food Network? Now’s your chance to be on one! Hit show Restaurant: Impossible is coming to Opelika to transform hole-in-the-wall eatery Walters’ Gas & Grill. Read on to find out when they’re filming and how you can be a part of the show.
About Restaurant: Impossible
In case you’re unfamiliar, let me introduce you to Restaurant: Impossible. Hosted by celebrity Chef Robert Irvine of popular shows Dinner: Impossible and Worst Cooks in America, the show follows Irvine and his team as they journey to save restaurants that are headed towards failure.
With $10,000 and two days to work, Irvine takes his expertise and creativity to turn the restaurant around. On the first day, he observes the staff and kitchen operations during a full service and assesses their performance.
Then, he updates the menu and makes aesthetic changes to the restaurant in preparation for a grand re-opening the following day.
The subject in Opelika? Walters’ Gas & Grill in Society Hill. Located within a gas station, this locally-owned spot is a one-stop-shop for gas, grocery and classic southern dishes. From fried catfish and meatloaf to tomato pies, Walters’ has a lot to choose from.
However, it looks like they’ll need help from Chef Robert Irvine to keep serving up success. Want to be a part of their journey? You’re in luck!
