Football legend Reggie Barlow has published two children’s books promoting self-love and affirmation. The coloring books, “I Am, And I Will Be: Positive Affirmations for Boys and I Am”, and “I Will Be: Positive Affirmations for Girls”, were published back in March and continue to climb the children’s book list on Amazon. Meet Reggie Barlow
Reggie Barlow is a native of Montgomery Alabama, a professional American football coach and a former NFL player. Barlow attended ASU and played as a wide receiver in the NFL for eight seasons. In 1997, Barlow led the NFL in punt return yards with 555 yards on 43 returns. Barlow is slated to coach the team formerly known as the DC Defenders in the newly reestablished XFL.
More than just coloring books
The two coloring books, “I Am, And I Will Be: Positive Affirmations for Boys” and “I Am, And I Will Be: Positive Affirmations for Girls” are meant to promote feelings of self-acceptance and love in minority group children from an early age. They are filled with sayings such as “I am blessed,” “I will prosper,” “I will be prosperous” and “I am a person of excellence.” Children can repeat these statements as part of a morning or bedtime routine. Both books are available on sites such as Amazon or wherever else books are sold.
