Future of Big Lots: 8 Alabama locations up for sale

Eight Big Lots leases were up for sale across Alabama last week, indicating those particular stores might close in the future.

The sale by Gordon Brothers Retail Partners ended on Friday, January 24th.

Alabama list of Big Lots leases for sake

The eight Alabama stores that made the list include:

  • Andalusia: 130 Covington Mall
  • Auburn: 716 Opelika Rd
  • Dothan:2821 Montgomery Highway
  • Florence: 340 Seville St
  • Foley: 3161 South McKenzie St,
  • Hoover: 1773 Montgomery Hwy
  • Montomery: 5484 Atlanta Hwy
  • Rainbow City: 3225 Rainbow Dr Ste 200D

Since Big Lots filed for bankruptcy this summer, six of the state’s 29 locations have been shuttered. Earlier this month Big Lots announced it is laying off its 491 employees at the company’s distribution center in Montgomery.
