Get expert birding advice at the FREE Wetumpka Wildlife Arts Festival—Oct. 24

Did you know Alabama ranks No. 4 among all U.S. states for biodiversity? That’s something to celebrate!

The 5th Annual Wetumpka Wildlife Arts Festival returns Saturday, Oct. 24, in historic downtown Wetumpka. As part of the event, the Alabama Wildlife Federation (AWF) will host a keynote address featuring Dr. Scot Duncan, executive director of Alabama Audubon, on our state’s bird diversity.

AWF + Alabama Audubon Keynote: What to know + why it matters

From songbirds to raptors, Dr. Duncan will examine what makes Alabama such a vital place for birds, the challenges they face, and how conservation can help. He’ll also share simple ways to support birds and their habitats.

Attendees will leave with practical tips and recommendations for birding opportunities across the state.

In addition to the keynote, Alabama Audubon will have a table at the festival, where festivalgoers can learn more about the organization’s work to promote conservation and bird stewardship.
