The Gulf Shores International Airport is welcoming Allegiant Airlines this summer, bringing on six new direct flights from across the country.

And more traffic will likely mean a higher demand for different services including rental cars—which is why Hertz has entered the conversation.

Beginning in May, the airport will add Hertz as its first rental car concessionaire. The company will operate under the Hertz + Dollar brands.

“This partnership with Hertz represents a significant step forward in delivering a seamless travel experience for our guests. Hertz is a globally recognized leader in the rental car industry, and we are excited to welcome them as a key component of our growing airport services.”

Hertz expects to begin setting reservations in April.

ParkMobile joining

The airport has also finalized an agreement with ParkMobile, one of the leading providers of parking through a mobile app. It is designed to provide a simple + convenient way for travelers to pay for parking at the airport.

With terminal construction well underway and a host of new businesses preparing to launch operations at the airport, Gulf Shores International Airport remains on track to provide a world-class travel experience for residents and visitors to Alabama’s beaches. Additional announcements regarding airport amenities and service providers are expected in the coming months as Allegiant begins flights to six destinations from Gulf Shores beginning May 21, 2025.”
