Gulf Shores Airport adds six new nonstop routes from Houston, Cincinnati, Kansas City + more

Las Vegas-based Allegiant Airlines announced this month it will launch six new nonstop routes to Gulf Shores.
The fast-growing travel company specializes in providing journeys between small-to-medium cities to world-class vacation destinations.
The first-ever commercial air service from Gulf Shores International Airport, flights begin in May 2025.
Inaugural Gulf Shores flights
Below are the nonstop Gulf Shores routes and their start dates:
- Great Smoky Mountains National Park/Knoxville, Tennessee via McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) â beginning May 21, 2025
- Cincinnati, Ohio via Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) â beginning May 22, 2025
- Houston, Texas via William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) â beginning May 22, 2025
- Bentonville/Fayetteville, Arkansas via Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) â beginning May 22, 2025
- Belleville, Illinois via MidAmerica St. Louis Airport (BLV) â beginning May 23, 2025Â
- Kansas City, Missouri via Kansas City International Airport (MCI) â beginning May 24, 2025

In addition to the service to Gulf Shores, Allegiant also added 38 new nonstop routes out of two other cities â Colorado Springs, Colorado and Columbia, South Carolina.
Drew Wells, Allegiantâs chief commercial officer summed best up why the new routes to Gulf Shores matter:
