Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken to open first Alabama location in Montgomery

Hot chicken fan? Then you’ll love this! According to WSFA12, Nashville-based restaurant Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken is spreading its wings with its first-ever Alabama location opening soon in Montgomery. Read on for the scoop.

Hangry Joe’s—hot chicken & drinks

A Nashville-based restaurant, Hangry Joe’s offers a menu filled with all things chicken and fries. Its claim to fame—the chicken sandwich with cider slaw, pickles, hangry sauce and brioche bun.

But here’s the kicker…it can be quite spicy. Luckily, you can choose just how spicy you want your chicken to be, whether Mild, Medium or Angry Hot. Yikes to that last one, right?

The heat doesn’t end with the menu’s chicken items, either. The loaded waffle fries, for example include chopped chicken breast, jalapeños and cheddar cheese with sauce. Not the hottest, but for us mild fans, our mouths may burn.

Along with a totally tempting menu, you can also expect plenty of tasty drinks. Just last week, the Montgomery City Council approved the restaurants request for a retail liquor license. Now that will give a boost to the run-of-the-mill chicken and fries chain.

When to visit

Excited about Hangry Joe’s opening its first Alabama location in Montgomery? You can get your eat on soon. According to WSFA12, Hangry Joe’s is expected to open within the next three weeks, but could be longer if unexpected delays arise.
