How to watch Alabama A&M, Alabama State compete in the Honda Battle of the Bands on Feb. 1

It’s like the Magic City Classic in February! 

On Saturday, February 1, 3:00PM Central at the 70,000-seat SoFi Stadium, the Mighty Marching Hornets from Alabama State University and the Maroon + White Band from Alabama A&M University are competing in the Honda  Battle of the Bands (HBOB).

Alabama is the only state with two competitors. The other four schools are:

  • Hampton University
  • North Carolina A&T State University
  • University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff
  • Southern University and A&M College

The event is hosted by comedian, television presenter, actor, and rapper, Nick Cannon, and will feature a performance by hip-hop artist, GloRilla.

For 19 years, the Honda Battle of the Bands has been a premiere stage for the showcasing of top HBCU band programs. This edition of the HBOB Invitational Showcase will be the first one ever held on the West Coast.
