What to know before tip off
This is the first of three guaranteed meetings between the two teams during the 2026-27 season. Each team will also get a home game, playing in Tuscaloosa on Jan. 30 with a return trip to Auburn scheduled for March 6.
The Crimson Tide was picked to finish fifth in the SEC while being ranked No. 20 in the preseason AP Poll. The Tide has played two previous exhibition games, grabbing wins over Furman and Ole Miss.
This will be Auburn’s second of three exhibition games. The Tigers were picked to finish 10th in the preseason SEC standings.
Over the last 10 years, the regular season meetings have been split evenly with Alabama holding the overall edge thanks to a win over the Tigers at the SEC Tournament in 2018.
That meeting was also the last time the two teams faced each other outside of one of the school’s home arenas.
