Huntingdon College lands Top 10 spots in 2026 U.S. News Best College Rankings

Huntingdon College is earning national recognition once again. The Montgomery-based college has been named to three lists in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Rankings, placing it among the top Regional Colleges in the South for value, overall performance and social mobility.

Huntingdon ranked:
- No. 5 in Best Value Schools (Regional Colleges–South)
- No. 8 in Regional Colleges–South
- No. 19 in Top Performers on Social Mobility (Regional Colleges–South)
These rankings continue a strong trend for the college, keeping Huntingdon in the Top 10 for value and overall rankings and Top 20 for social mobility.
Huntingdon’s success isn’t limited to academics. Earlier this year, the Huntingdon Hawks men’s basketball team made its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament, marking a major milestone for the program and the college as a whole.

Founded in 1854, Huntingdon College is a private Methodist college located in Montgomery, Alabama. Originally established as a women’s college, it has grown into a coeducational institution known for its strong liberal arts foundation and student-focused learning environment.
