Employees at the Hyundai manufacturing facility in Montgomery have a new health resource right on campus.

Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) celebrated the grand opening of its new Care Center, a $14 million facility designed to enhance the health and well-being of its team members.

The new Care Center is located at a new central site on the southwest corner of the general assembly building on the HMMA campus, just south of Montgomery.

The new Care Center is supposed to underscore the company’s focus on a supportive team environment. The facility includes:

  • HMMA medical clinic
  • Physical therapy clinic
  • Emergency Response Team
  • Fitness center
  • Team wear store

“We are incredibly proud to unveil this state-of-the-art Care Center. Our team members are the heart of this company, and this facility is an investment in keeping that heart healthy. This new facility is more than just a place for enhanced medical services; it’s a resource for wellness, fitness, physical therapy, fire prevention, and emergency response.”

~ Chris Susock, HMMA’s President and CEO

The center is meant to emphasize HMMA’s objective of ensuring employees have access to essential health and wellness services in a convenient location.

In 2023, Hyundai announced a $290 million investment in the Montgomery plant to focus on car parts. Another $52 million investment was made last year for an expansion of the MOBIS facility.
