Internships! Want to create content with The Bama Buzz? Here’s how to apply

Do you know someone passionate about Alabama with strong media skills? We have immediate openings for paid internships in several Alabama markets, including; Mobile and Montgomery. We also hire interns in Tuscaloosa, Auburn and Florence each semester.

Our mission is to cover buzzy, positive and uplifting news from across the state. We cover a wide variety of events, openings and news from all areas of Alabama.

We’re always looking for more coverage around college campuses including fan + student experience around college sports. But you’ll also have the opportunity to explore nearby small towns, local businesses, the great outdoors + so much more!

Our goal with The Bama Buzz is to provide useful and relatable content about the state. You will turn in a package each week of the following:

• Weekly Reel + TikTok (will sometimes produce grid/carousel post using Canva)
• WordPress story
• Set of Instagram stories
• Reel footage for The Bama Buzz weekly round-up reel

This is a paid internship with interns being compensated based on each piece of content produced. Mileage can also be compensated for some stories. Some other perks of the job include:

• Flexible hours
• Provides real world experience with a fast growing digital media brand. The Bama Buzz is affiliated with Bham Now and Hville Blast
• Must have transportation and own equipment

Benefits including PTO and health insurance are not included with this role.

In the past, we’ve had interns based in Auburn, Tuscaloosa, Florence + Mobile. We would welcome applications from those cities along with getting new coverage from places like:

• Gadsden/Anniston
• Jacksonville
• Montgomery
• Troy
• Dothan/Enterprise
• Gulf Coast
