Is a new Raising Cane’s coming to Tuscaloosa? Here’s what we know
Reading time: 2 minutes

Earlier this year, Raising Cane’s announced it would be opening a store along Highway 280 in Birmingham, creating its third Alabama location.
Now, just a few months later, it seems like a fourth location is on its way.
A large sign just off McFarland Boulevard in Tuscaloosa suggests a new Raising Cane’s restaurant is planned for the soon-to-be-redeveloped corner of McFarland and 13th Street.
Keep reading to find out everything we know about the potential development.
Second Raising Cane’s in Tuscaloosa

The new development is expected to be the second Raising Cane’s location in the city but the first standalone restaurant as there is currently one inside Paty Hall on the campus of the University of Alabama.
A billboard just off McFarland suggests the restaurant will move in to the corner, taking the place of buildings already established on the lot. The location currently houses the Made in Mexico Tacos and Tequila restaurant + a US Navy and Marines Recruitment center.
The sign has a QR Code that leads to a website with design plans from Capital Growth Real Estate. It shows Raising Canes will take over the lot closest to McFarland Boulevard with two other lots to be made available for other businesses (as shown above).
Currently, there is no second Tuscaloosa location listed on the Raising Cane’s website. And there is no clear timeline is for demolition of the current property + the construction of the new restaurant.

Chicken finger capital of Alabama?
