Gamecocks chasing first FBS conference title
Jax State has a chance to avenge its lone conference loss of the season, which came last week on a late 50-yard field goal from the Hilltoppers.
This one will certainly have more on the line as the Gamecocks are hoping to secure the program’s first ever conference championship at the FBS level. In the past, Jacksonville State has:
- 10 conference championships in FCS
- 10 conference championships in Division II
- 5 Alabama Collegiate Conference Championships
Success on the football field is nothing new for Jacksonville State but as the program grows, so do the accomplishments.
Last season, Jacksonville State won its first ever bowl game, finishing the season with a 9-4 record. This year, the Gamecocks could win out to hit the 10-win mark for the first time since 2020.
