October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and communities across Alabama are coming together to show their support.
Here’s a look at some of the upcoming events happening around the state this month where you can get involved and make a difference.
Jeepin’ for a Cure – Clanton
- What: Jeepin’ for a Cure
- Where: 86 Peach Tower Rd Clanton, AL 35045
- When: October 11, 2025 | 12PM-6PM
- Details: An event perfect for both Jeepers and Jeepers at heart, the first ever Jeepin’ for a Cure will be a fun day featuring a “Show N’ Shine” show, Trunk or Treat, raffles, and food trucks. All event proceeds go directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama.

Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon – Gadsden
- What: Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon
- Where: 254 S College St, Gadsden, AL 35901
- When: October 15, 2025 | 12PM-1:30PM
- Details: The Gadsden Public Library is hosting this free event to highlight guest speakers that aim to bring awareness to breast cancer, mammography and post-mastectomy care.

Bags of Hope Serve Project – Tuscaloosa
- What: Bags of Hope Serve Project
- Where: 1800 Hackberry Ln Suite B, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401
- When: October 17, 2025 | 10AM-12PM
- Details: Volunteers will help pack care bags filled with goodies to be mailed to those currently in breast cancer treatment.

5K Breast Cancer Awareness Color Run – Huntsville
- What: 5K Breast Cancer Awareness Color Run hosted by the Alabama A&M University’s Women’s Basketball Team
- Where: 4900 Meridian St N, Huntsville, AL 35811
- When: October 18, 2025 | 1PM-5PM
- Details: Students, faculty, and community members are all invited to run, walk or volunteer. The 5K will start at the Quad and finish at the AAMU Event Center. The event will also feature vendors, contests and prizes. Check-in begins at 1PM.

Charlotte Dawson’s One-Mile Fun Walk and Run – Alabaster
- What: Charlotte Dawson’s One-Mile Fun Walk and Run
- Where: 600 Industrial Rd Alabaster, AL 35007
- When: October 19, 2025 | 2PM-5PM
- Details: Friends and family are invited to finish three laps (one mile) to support breast cancer research. All event proceeds go directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama.

Breast Cancer Awareness Walk – Montgomery
- What: Breast Cancer Awareness Walk
- Where: 1010 Forest Ave, Montgomery, AL 36106
- When: October 22, 2025 | 10AM-12PM
- Details: The City of Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department is hosting this walk to raise awareness, honor survivors and support those currently battling breast cancer. The walk will also feature light refreshments, goodies and a special balloon release.

- What: All In All Pink

- Details: Students, faculty and members of local communities are invited to this breast cancer and health awareness event featuring performances by the AU Gospel Choir and the Mosaic Theatre, guest speakers, free health screenings, food and giveaways.

- What: Making Strides of South Alabama

- Details: Making Strides is a non-competitive walk or run that aims to bring awareness to breast cancer. Any donations benefit the American Cancer Society.

- What: Calera Goes Pink Golf Tournament
- Where: 300 Timberline Trail, Calera, AL 35040
- When: October 30, 2025 | 1PM
- Details: Individuals and foursomes are welcome to grab their clubs and head to the Timberline Golf Club to support breast cancer research. All event proceeds go directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama.
