List of North-Central Alabama school closings and delays for January 27

With temps plunging into the teens on the evening of Monday, Jan. 26 in North and Central Alabama, several Northwest Alabama schools, which experienced the most wintery weather this weekend, will close Tuesday, Jan. 27.
Schools east of the Northwest counties, including Madison, Dekalb, Marshall and Jefferson counties, will begin school 2-3 hours later on Tuesday morning.

Cold temps early Tuesday morning
Temps are expected to dip into the teens on Monday night and Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. National Weather Service Birmingham and Huntsville Offices.
