Local 6th grader to appear on new ‘MasterChef Junior’ episode

The new season of Gordon Ramsay’s “MasterChef Junior” premiers tonight, and a local kid will be one of the contestants. Bryson McGlynn, a 12-year-old promising chef in Opelika, will appear on the show, which airs at 7PM.

McGlynn has made himself internet-famous as an online cooking host known as “Cheese Curd.” He posts his own cooking videos on his “Cookin’ with Cheese Curd” Facebook page , and has built a pretty impressive following.
McGlynn is a 6th grade student at Opelika’s Fox Run Middle School.

The series premiered in 2013 and features young chefs between the ages of 8 and 13. The host, famous chef Gordon Ramsay, is accompanied by judges Aaron Sanchez and Daphne Oz as returning judges, along with new judge Tilly Ramsay — Gordon’s daughter.
The young cooks compete in a series of tests and challenges until one emerges victorious.
