Are you in need of a new laptop, car or office furniture? Well, lucky you, the Surplus Property Division of the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) has these things plus more, and they want to sell them to you. Keep reading to find out how to take part in this online auction.

It’s that time of year again when ADECA has products for you. The state has some extra items on hand and wants to sell them to you and eligible nonprofits at a fraction of the cost. Here are some items you can find:

  • Computers
  • Industrial equipment
  • Kitchen equipment
  • Motor vehicles
  • Office equipment, furniture and supplies
  • School equipment

Do you want to see what you can buy in person? Items can be viewed at the ADECA Montgomery warehouse.

How do I bid in the online auction?

The online auction via GovDeals.com starts on Thursday, June 16 at 7:30AM with bidding lasting until Wednesday, June 22 6PM. Here’s how you can snag some great deals:

  • Go to GovDeals.com
  • Select “Buyer Registration”
  • Register as a buyer
  • Receive your temporary password and sign in as a registered buyer
  • Let the bidding begin! Payment will be taken online
