Two popular restaurant chains in Alabama have been recognized for their special versions of shrimp and grits.

According to the foodie website, Eat This, Not That, Flying Biscuit Cafe and Tupelo Honey Cafe are the best at making this uniquely southern delicacy..

Flying Biscuit Cafe

Flying Biscuit Cafe’s first Alabama location was opened in Birmingham with much fanfare back in 2019. Since then, the legendary Atlanta breakfast/brunch joint has launched three new restaurants in Opelika, Mobile and Huntsville. 

“With a neighborhood-like feel and consistently good Southern cooking, you’ll almost always see lines out the door at a Flying Biscuit on any weekend morning.”

Tupelo Honey Cafe

If you ever travel to Asheville, North Carolina, one of the most popular restaurants in the heart of downtown is Tupelo Honey.  That’s why we were thrilled to see Alabama’s first Tupelo Honey location arrive in Huntsville. 

Of course, their food and atmosphere is awesome. Here is what Eat This, Not That had to say about their shrimp and grits.
