Maplesville High School announces new stadium project [PHOTOS]

The Chilton County Board of Education unanimously approved a bid for major renovations to George Walker Jr. Stadium at Maplesville High School.

The bid from Ward Scott Morris Architecture will give the Class 1A program a brand new look, rivaling some of the biggest schools in the state. The renovations will include new:

  • Entry + ticket booth
  • Scoreboard
  • Concession building
  • Paved walkways
  • Fencing around stadium

The Red Devils have one of the most successful programs in the state over the last four decades. Since 1984, Maplesville has racked up:

  • 4 state championships
  • 40 playoff appearances
  • 28 10+ win seasons
  • 25 region titles

The Red Devils will open the 2025 season at home against county rival Isabella. The new renovations are expected to be completed in time for the first game.
