You might find it difficult to get modern Star Wars fans to agree on much—how good the newest Disney+ show is, if the latest trilogy was worth making, who is the most powerful Jedi? The discussions can go on and on.

But one thing is certain: May 4 is Star Wars Day. And this year’s holiday falls on a Saturday meaning there is plenty to do for Star Wars fans across the state.   • What: Star Wars fans, you won’t want to miss this fun-filled day. Along with getting to dress up as your fave characters, you’ll get to geek out over tons of thrilling programs all day long including droid building workshops, lightsaber demos, photo ops with the 501st Legion costume group + more. Birmingham Barons vs. Rocket City Trash Pandas

  • What: An in-state minor league baseball matchup will be held at Regions Field in Birmingham to celebrate Star Wars Day. There are not many details being released about this year’s game but past Star Wars games have featured guest appearances, costume contents and even specialized jerseys.

Star Wars Day at Bricks & Minifigs Huntsville

  • What: Special sales, exclusive offers, guest appearances and more are to be expected at this new and used lego store in Huntsville.

Star Wars Trivia at Siluria Brewing Company

  • What: North Alabama Trivia will host a Star Wars themed night at the Alabaster brewery. Gather up your favorite droids and head to the Siluria cantina for a fun night of galactic questions. Prizes will be available for first and second place teams

Star Wars Day celebration in Boaz

  • What: The Notorious Collectibles shop will be hosting Star Wars Legion and Star Wars Unlimited tournaments all day. Your favorite Star Wars movies will be streaming on the big screen and you can dress as your favorite Star Wars character for an extra surprise.

Star Wars lego event in Spanish Fort

  • What: Head over to Barnes & Noble in Spanish Fort to get a free X-wing lego model to build. The store will also have activities and a free treat from the cafe. Be sure sure to dress up as your favorite characters! The store asks you to call or come into the store to sign up as there will be limited quantities available.

  • What: Visions Cards and Games will host a card tournament. Entry is $15 with top prizes still to be decided.

Star Wars Movie Marathon in Huntsville
