Melt in Auburn announces permanent closure after 2 years

Melt, a restaurant in Auburn known for its grilled cheese sandwich-based menu, has announced it will permanently close after two years serving the community.
The restaurant shared the news with customers this week in a post on social media, thanking the Auburn community for the support, friendships and memories since opening.
The Auburn location was part of the Alabama-based MELT brand, which first launched in 2011 and currently operates additional locations in Hoover and Huntsville.
When will Melt close?

According to the announcement from the restaurant:
- Final day for in-dining service: Saturday, March 14
- Catering, to-go and third-party orders available through: Saturday, March 21
The team encouraged customers to stop by before the restaurant closes to enjoy one final visit.
Customers are also encouraged to redeem any remaining gift cards before the final closing date.

In the announcement, the Melt team expressed gratitude to customers who supported the restaurant during its time in Auburn.
“We are so deeply grateful for the support, friendship and memories you’ve shared with us since we opened.”
