Emma Terry, who was crowned Miss Alabama earlier this year, made her state proud on the national stage Sunday night. Competing in the Miss America finals, Terry advanced all the way to the Top 5 before being named fourth runner-up.

Her impressive finish came with a $10,000 scholarship award, recognizing her outstanding performance throughout the competition. In addition to this honor, Terry was also recognized for her commitment to service, receiving a $5,000 Quality of Life scholarship award. The scholarship highlights titleholders who demonstrate a strong dedication to community impact, something Terry has championed during her time as Miss Alabama.
While the crown ultimately went to Miss New York—marking the state’s record-breaking eighth Miss America title—Terry’s accomplishments place her among the most successful Miss Alabama representatives in recent years.
