This will be the fifth season the bowl game is played at South Alabama’s Hancock-Whitney Stadium. It moved from the historic Ladd-Peebles Stadium in 2021.

Louisiana went 6-6 in the regular season and 5-3 in the Sun Belt Conference. The Ragin’ Cajuns won their last four games to secure their second-consecutive bowl appearance.

This will be Louisiana’s second appearance in the 68 Ventures Bowl. The program is 6-6 all-time in bowl games, including a 27-17 win over Miami (Ohio) in the 2019 Lending Tree Bowl in Mobile

“We are incredibly excited to be playing in the 68 Ventures Bowl in Mobile. Our team has worked hard to earn a postseason opportunity, and it makes it even better that it is in such a great location. Mobile was great to us the last time we played in their bowl game, and we look forward to their hospitality again.”

Michael Desormeaux, Louisiana head coach

Delaware finished the regular season with a 6-6 record in it’s first season as an FBS member.

NCAA rules prohibit teams transitioning to the FBS level from playing in bowl games unless they have six victories and there aren’t enough bowl-eligible teams available. The Blue Hens were able to gain eligibility following the last game of the regular season.

The Blue Hens are in the postseason for the 25th time. The Blue Hens made 24 NCAA I-AA/FCS tournament appearances from 1980-2024.

“We are beyond excited to head to Mobile to play in the 68 Ventures Bowl. Being able to represent Conference USA and the University of Delaware in our first-ever FBS bowl berth is extremely special.”

Ryan Carty, Delaware head coach

This will be the first ever meeting on the gridiron between the two schools.
