Montana Fouts leads Talons to 2nd straight AUSL championship

The Athletes Unlimited Softball League continued to grow in its second season but the end result looked pretty familiar.
When year two was said and done, it was still Montana Fouts and the Talons hoisting the championship trophy.
Fouts, who was named the AUSL Pitcher of the Year, pitched a complete game shutout in a decisive 6-1 victory Sunday to secure the second straight title for the Talons. Fouts also led her team to the championship in Tuscaloosa last summer.
Talons win 2026 AUSL Championship
Montana Fouts was always going to be the go-to arm in the circle and the Talons turned to the former Tide star in Game 2 of the championship series.
She held the Bandits to one run on four hits across seven innings while striking out four.
“I could feel in the middle of the game a little more intentional with locations. They’re obviously a great hitting team, and they’re going to take advantage of any mistake, but I wanted to be the best that I could, so just locking in a little bit more on locations set the tone.”

Fouts named AUSL Pitcher of the Year
Just before securing the league championship, Montana Fouts was also named the AUSL Pitcher of the Year for her 2026 campaign.
Fouts’ season stats included:
