Montgomery installs new trail signage at Blount Cultural Park
Reading time: 1 minute

One of Alabama’s largest municipal parks has some new features to help guide visitors in their strolls around the park.
Montgomery’s Blount Cultural Park recently had six new interpretive trail signs installed across the grounds. The signs were created by Marketa F. Horton + Kaser Design.
Each sign shows the grounds of Blount Cultural Park with Woodmere Park to the north and Ida Bell Young Park to the south. Each sign includes the location of:
- Alabama Shakespeare Festival
- Museum of Fine Arts
- Tennis courts
- Playground + pavilion
- Ponds
- Miles of walking trails
The project was funded by the Mid-South Resource Conservation and Development Council
“It was a beautiful day for a walk on the Park & Arts Trail and the perfect time to check out the SIX brand new interpretive signs that were just installed! Thanks to a generous RC&D grant, these signs now highlight the rich history, art, and natural beauty surrounding the trail.”
