The City of Montgomery has put together a $10 million plan to renovate community centers around the city as part of its Montgomery Forward initiative.

The latest project was at the Sheridan Heights Community Center in north Montgomery. Community leaders came together for a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony, revealing new features including:

  • Resurfaced swimming pool
  • Upgraded gym floor
  • New E-Sports gaming room
  • New table-tennis setup

“The renovations at Sheridan Heights Community Center represent more than just upgrades to a building—they reflect our commitment to creating safe, modern, and inclusive spaces where the community can come together, grow, and thrive. We’re proud to provide a facility that meets the evolving needs of our residents and offers something for everyone.”
