Montgomery students to share stage with Grammy-winning percussionist

Grammy-award winning musician Sheila E. will be in the capital city for show, joining students from Montgomery Public Schools for a show at Cramton Bowl.
The school system has put together the event, hoping to put an emphasis on the importance of school attendance + family engagement. For tickets, families of students can confirm or update their contact information.
The concert is scheduled for May 10, starting at 3PM and its expected to last three hours. It will be hosted by Pastor Lee Walker of New Home Missionary Baptist Church and Terrance Baldwin, found of MEOW Academy.

With over four decades of experience in the music experience, Sheila E. will provide a unique opportunity for students to learn from + share a stage with a legend.
The Oakland native has toured with some of the world’s biggest musicians including Prince, Ringo Starr, Diana Ross and more.
And she has racked up the accolades along the way including two Grammys + two Emmys. In 2023, she was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Most recently, she was awarded the Drum Workshop Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Music Merchants.
