About the new Anniston City Market
Anniston Auto Parts Store used to be a place to grab oil and tail lights is now a place to get fresh produce and local goods. Anniston City Market, envisioned by architect Bill Whittaker, is a hub for the community. It features:
- 15,850 square feet of space
- Open-air concept
- Community garden
- Food truck + vendor space
- Permanent home of the Downtown Market program
- Offices for Main Street Anniston
To preserve the character of the space, it will also feature Anniston Auto Parts’ historic facade. The vendor space is an opportunity for the community to be a part of the market and grow with it, creating a beneficial relationship between the market and local entrepreneurs.
