St. Arnold, a bishop and brewer, is the inspiration behind Blessèd Kettle Brewing Company’s name. The bishop was a big-time beer advocate, as much of the drinking water in those long-ago times was far from clean.

“You can expect the core of what you will find on tap to be traditional style ales and lagers similar to the monastic styles perfected by the monks.”

Of course, the taproom brewery is the highlight of Blessèd Kettle Brewing Company, but the owners, Tim and Alexa Lipe, are looking forward to making it a community hub.

“We’re most excited about getting to know the community better and having them get to know us…We really want it to be a community center.”

To accomplish the goal of being a community center, they’ll have:

  • Live entertainment
  • Food vendors
  • Private event space

Alexa + Tim Lipe are the husband-and-wife team behind Blessèd Kettle

The husband-and-wife team behind Blessèd Kettle Brewing Company is no stranger to brewing.

“My husband’s always wanted to open a brewery…it’s always been his dream.”

Tim met Alexa when they were in physical therapy school, around the same time that he found his passion for brewing beer. His sister gifted him a brewing kit, and he’s been growing his skills ever since.

The couple, now married and with two-year-old twins, a five-year-old and a seven-year-old, has been working on this project for over a year. Foley Mayor Ralph Hellmich attends church with the Lipes and encouraged Tim to share his passion with the community.

“Anytime we have get-togethers or dinners, we always make the beer. The mayor pulled him aside and said, ‘We really need a brewery.'”

“One thing led to another,” Alexa said, and the couple is making progress toward opening Blessèd Kettle Brewing Company.
