Reading time: 2 minutes
Buc-ee’s officially opened its 4th Alabama location in Auburn on Monday, April 10. The larger-than-life, Texas-based travel center known for its friendly beaver mascot and yummy brisket sandwiches is becoming one of our favorite travel sights in the state.
Buc-ee’s is the perfect travel stop
Auburn’s Buc-ee’s is strategically located along I-85 at 2500 Buc-ee’s Boulevard. Buc-ees’ Stan Beard told WSFA that this location makes it an ideal stop for travelers headed to Georgia or down to the Alabama coast.
The Auburn location is similar to other Buc-ee’s: big. Here are the numbers.
- Over 53,470 square feet
- 120 fueling stations
- Up to 200 job opportunities with full benefits
The grand opening
The doors in Auburn opened at 6:00AM on April 10th, with a 9:30AM ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Local leaders at the ribbon-cutting event included:
- Mayor Ron Anders
- City Councilperson Tommy Dawson
- Auburn City Manager Megan McGowen Crouch
- City of Auburn Economic Development Director Phillip Dunlap
- Lee County Commission Chairman Bill English
Other Alabama locations include Athens, Leeds and Robertsdale. We’re pretty confident that Auburn will make a good home for our state’s 4th Buc-ee’s.
