New cruises in Mobile

On Tuesday, May 2, Carnival Cruise Line announced the addition of new sailings from Mobile, including five-, six- and eight-day Caribbean itineraries. They’ll be operating from the fall of 2024 through the spring of 2025.

From an onboard mini golf course to exciting live performances, these new sailings make for an unforgettable vacation. In his nightly newsletter, Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson shared his excitement for the fun new cruises.

“For years, we’ve had a strong and collaborative partnership with Carnival, and these new offerings really signify that they see the value of Mobile as a port. We are centrally located and have an outstanding drive market that draws cruisers from multiple states. We are very excited to see these new and longer cruises available to our citizens and Carnival fans throughout the entire Southern region.”

Sandy Stimpson, Mayor, City of Mobile

According to Stimpsons newsletter, this means cruisers leaving the Port of Mobile will have access to several destination ports like Grand Cayman, the Cayman Islands, Jamaica and Cozumel for the first time.

Where you can sail

I don’t know about you, but I’m already texting the group chat about a vacation plan. In a press release, Carnival detailed some examples of where your cruise can take you:

  • Eight-Day Exotic Western Caribbean Cruise departs Mobile on Oct. 26, 2024, and visits Mahogany Bay, Isla Roatan; Belize; Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico.
  • Six-Day Western Caribbean Cruise departs Mobile on April 6, 2025, and visits Cozumel, Mexico and Mahogany Bay, Isla Roatan.
  • Five-Day Western Caribbean Cruise departs Mobile March 10, 2025, and visits Yucatan (Progreso), and Cozumel, Mexico.
  • 12-Day Carnival Journeys Cruise departs Mobile Jan. 18, 2025 and visits several spectacular Caribbean destinations, including Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos; Aruba; Curacao; Ocho Rios, Jamaica and Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.

“When Carnival Spirit arrives for her first season this year and then returns for the cruises we’re announcing today for next year, she won’t just be bringing a newer and larger ship experience to the port, she’ll deliver more opportunities to visit beautiful destinations compared to our past operations there.”

Fred Stein, Vice President of Revenue Planning and Deployment, Carnival Cruise Line
