If someone made the Emerald City into a restaurant.

Amidst renovations to Mobile’s historic downtown hotel, The Admiral, came the announcement of a new restaurant—Le Moyne’s Chophouse.

The new fine dining option is set to open in mid-August, and we have the inside scoop.

Coming August 19, 2024

Named in honor of one of Mobile’s founders, Pierre Le Moyne d’Iberville, the Chophouse is set to bring an upscale dining option to the ground floor of The Admiral Hotel.

On the menu? Prime-aged cuts of meat and fresh, Gulf-caught seafood in dishes like:

  • Ishiyaki wagyu
  • Pommes frites with parmesan
  • Seafood tower (with stone crab claws)
  • Duck leg confit
  • Oysters Louis (with caviar and bread crumbs)

A unique ingredient is Admiral Honey, harvested on-site from a bee colony and garden on the hotel’s roof. You’ll find it mixed into top-notch cocktails on the cocktail menu and the decadent dessert lineup.

About The Admiral

Opened in 1940, The Admiral is in the heart of downtown Mobile—just steps away from Government Plaza and the LoDa Entertainment District. It’s a prime spot to stay during Mardi Gras, parades will roll right by your room window.

Last July, the hotel announced a full-scale renovation. Reps for the hotel say the renovation is close to done, but they’re keeping details under wraps for now.
