We might be a week away from the start of fall, but the taste of summer isn’t leaving our cups anytime soon.

Durbin Farm Market in Chilton County has collaborated with a New Orleans-based distillery to bring you peach whiskey—and we have the details.

Hardhide Chilton County Peach Whiskey contains a stout 43% ABV. The libation is the brainchild of Sidewalk Side Spirits, a New Orleans-based spirit incubator that strives to include locally sourced ingredients in its liquors.

“We searched the South for the finest peaches available! We are proud to partner with Durbin Family Farms, a family-owned and operated farm that has been cultivating the highest quality peaches in the Southeast since 1961.”

John Eason, founder + CEO of Sidewalk Side Spirits

The spirit is made of fresh peaches from Chilton County, old wheat whiskey and light American whiskey. Expert distillers in Louisiana brew each batch to perfection.

The peach whiskey has a sister spirit, a Ponchatoula Strawberry Whiskey. While not on store shelves in Alabama just yet, you can learn more about both summer refreshments on Hardhide Whiskey’s website.

A portion of all sales helps battle food insecurity in the New Orleans area.
