New Gulf Shores airport adds route to Nashville

This coming November country music lovers will have another way to make their way to Gulf Shores and Alabama’s beaches.

Beginning November 21, 2025, Allegiant Air will launch a new route between Nashville International Airport (BNA) and Gulf Shores International Airport (GUF). 

BNA is the 26th busiest airport in North America, according to Flightsfrom.com.

Alabama’s newest airport, Gulf Shores International Airport opened this past May for its first commercial flights.

Currently, the new airport has eight Allegiant Air routes, including: 

• Appleton, WI
• Des Moines, IA
• Knoxville, TN
• Cincinnati, OH
• Houston, TX
• Bentonville/Fayetteville, AK
• Belleville/St. Louis, MO
• Kansas City, MO

In addition to the new flights, earlier this month, the airport announced it is adding a LuLu’s restaurant to its terminal this summer
