Just last week, we reported that Downtown Cullman’s Cotton Creek Warehouse was getting a new tenant—Goat Island Brewery. Now, a beloved restaurant will also be coming to the space. Here’s what you need to know about Half Shell Oyster House’s newest location.

With five locations already in Alabama (Mobile, Pelham, Spanish Fort, Trussville and Tuscaloosa), Half Shell Oyster House is now bringing oysters, seafood, po-boys and more to downtown Cullman, according to The Cullman Daily.

Founded in 2018, Half Shell Oyster House’s mission is, “To serve original New Orleans inspired dishes with Southern hospitality in a distinct and vibrant French Quarter atmosphere” (Half Shell Oyster House).

Half Shell Oyster House’s menu is filled with coastal classics and Southern flavor, including dishes like:

  • Oysters Rockefeller
  • Crab Cakes
  • Boudin Balls
  • Royal Redfish
  • Big Easy Surf + Turf
  • Fried Shrimp Po-boy
  • Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding
