A flooring store is leaving Alabama’s biggest city. LL Flooring, formerly Lumber Liquidators, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and is in the process of closing 211 of its 400 storefronts, including three in the Yellowhammer State.

3 stores closing

When reps for LL Flooring announced their Chapter 11 bankruptcy, they originally indicated that all 400 locations under the LL Flooring name would be shuttered in the coming months.

A more recent update on LL Flooring’s website indicates that F9 Investments has initiated a going-concern sale to acquire some 219 stores from the company’s portfolio, saving them from closure.

The saved stores include four locations in Alabama:

  • Dothan | 3500 Ross Clark Cir Suite 930, Dothan, AL 36303
  • Huntsville | 8402 Whitesburg Dr, Huntsville, AL 35802
  • Mobile | 3725 Airport Blvd, Mobile, AL 36608
  • Pelham | 2242 Pelham Pkwy, Pelham, AL 35124

As for stores facing closure, here are the Alabama locations:

  • Birmingham | 1805 Tin Valley Cir, Birmingham, AL 35235
  • Montgomery | 4345 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36109
  • Tuscaloosa | 3305 McFarland Blvd E, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405

Store closure sales are going on right now at those three stores. They’ll run for the next 12 weeks, or whenever the store is out of stock—whichever comes first.
