NEW: Montgomery Whitewater to host Olympic Team trials

Montgomery Whitewater, which opened in summer 2023, just got a little bit more exciting (if that’s possible). They’re hosting some Olympic Trials for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Keep reading for all the details.

Montgomery Whitewater + the 2024 Olympics

In a Facebook post on Thursday, January 4, Montgomery Whitewater announced that ACA Paddlesports selected it for the 2024 Canoe Slalom and Kayak Cross Olympic Team Trials. At this event on April 13-14, the public will be able to watch athletes compete for a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

This is the first time Canoe Slalom and Kayak Cross will hold its Olympic Team Trials in the state of Alabama, and the first of two selection events to be held before the 2024 Paris Olympics.
