New ownership group taking over Jack Brown’s locations across Alabama

The Florida-based investment group Green Shoot Brands is purchasing all 22 locations of the popular Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint, including all four here in Alabama, according to The Tennessean.
There are no significant changes expected to happen at any of the Jack Brown’s locations, just a behind the scenes change of ownership.
Green Shoot Brands manages hundreds of franchise locations for other restaurant brands including:
- Auntie Anne’s
- Cinnabon
- Jamba Juice
- Little Caesars
- Nothing Bundt Cakes
The company purchased all Jack Brown’s locations across Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina with further expansion expected.
Jack Brown’s in Alabama
Jack Brown’s is known for their specialty burgers, fries and craft beer selection. And don’t forget about those fried Oreos before you leave.
The restaurant debuted in Alabama in 2014 when it opened their Birmingham location in the Lakeview District.
As of October 2026, there are four total locations across Alabama including:
- Auburn: 160 N College St, Auburn, AL 36830

- Huntsville: 123 North Side Square Ste 100, Huntsville, AL 35801
- Tuscaloosa: 401 23rd Ave, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401
